Stake your claim on visitors from the United Kingdom! Our region of Georgia continues to see growth of the international leisure travel market, despite the decline of other tourism segments around the state. Let’s work together to welcome our neighbors from across the pond and learn how to serve them better.

The Athens Convention & Visitors Bureau is delighted to welcome three representatives from the U.K. who will offer insight on how to grow the Foreign Independent Travel (FIT) trade in our region:
- Peter Hannaford, GA Tourism Representative for the United Kingdom and Ireland,
- Gary Orr, Head of Purchasing for Virgin Holidays, and
- Jimmy Jillebo from Delta U.K., Leisure Sales Manager.

Guests will share news and tips regarding the state of the market, GA Tourism sales and promotional efforts overseas, hotel contracting practices for travel agents and wholesale operators, as well as general guidelines and pointers for welcoming the international traveller.
