The Towns County Historical Society will sponsor discussions and demonstrations of myths about local Native American heritage on Saturday, March 14, at the Towns County Senior Center (across from the Courthouse) in Haiwassee.
Indian artifacts will be on display, and speakers include Gracie Schwartzman, Mary Geidel, and Jill Hazen from the Sautee-Nacoochee Center; Tina Shelton of Women of Heart; Kerry Marsh of the Yonah Art Guild; Donna Redfeather of the Sautee-Nacoochee American Indian Conservancy Trust; and Kelly Wells playing Native American Flute.
